The managements of Delta State Uni.versity (DELSU) wishes to inform all the newly admitted students of the institution that dates for the 2019/2020 academic session orientation programme has been released

ORIENTATION PROGRAMME FOR FRESH STUDENTS (2019/2020 SESSION) FROM WEDNESDAY 9TH TO FRIDAY 11TH JANUARY, 2019 IN THE 1,000 CAPACITY LECTURE THEATRE, SITE III, ABRAKA

⇒ DAY 1: WEDNESDAY, 9TH JANUARY, 2019

10.00 a.m. All fresh students are seated.

10.15 a.m. Arrival of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Victor F. Peretomode, the Registrar, Bursar, University Librarian, Deans of Faculty, Professors, Directors of Academic Programmes and Heads of Department.

10.30 a.m. Introduction of the Vice-Chancellor and other dignitaries by the Public Relations Officer.

10.45 a.m. Welcome address by the Dean of Students, Professor Augustus O. Atubi.

10.50 a.m. Address by the Chairman of the occasion/Vice-Chancellor, Professor Victor F. Peretomode

11.20 a.m. Vote of thanks by a representative of the Fresh Students.

11.25. a.m. Departure of the Vice-Chancellor, Principal Officers, Deans of Faculty, Professors, Directors and Heads of Department.

BUSINESS SESSION

11.30 a.m. 1st Lecture “The Essence of University Education” by the Dean of Education Professor E. Kpangban

12.00 noon 2nd Lecture “Entrepreneurship” by the Ag. Director of Entrepreneurial Studies, Dr. U.N.O. Edewor.

12.30 p.m. 3rd Lecture “Practical Demonstration of on-line registration and e-payment of fees” by Mr. Joe Ebasa.

1.00 p.m. Questions and Answers.

1.30 p.m. Closing/Departure.
