What We Do
Towards the achievement of its two core objectives, the Company will manage two funds:

The financing opportunities are available in all states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory.   • Homes Loans Assistance Fund – This fund will provide financing assistance to eligible home buyers. The facility is a key part of our strategy for improving affordability of home ownership towards people on low to medium income. By June 2019, we expect to have committed N25bn towards the programme.

In addition to the above we expect to roll out a Rental Housing Fund and a Land Development Fund over the next 18months.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • The Chief Investment Officer will be responsible for providing Strategic leadership in managing the Funds towards achieving the ambitious target of providing good quality and affordable homes to 500,000 families on low and medium income by 2023.

Specific Duties of the Position

  • New business development; particularly investment opportunities in new affordable housing projects across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria;
  • Develop strategic partnerships with large scale house builders/developers, financial institutions e.g. The Federal Ministry of Power, Works and Housing, State Governments and other industry players.
  • Overall management of individual funds ensuring high quality origination and compliance with agreed risk acceptance policies geared towards long term sustainability.
  • Ensure funds’ investments generate high social and environmental impact, particularly the creation of new jobs.
  • Serve as the senior investment executive and expert in all aspects of Investment and Portfolio Management for the Fund, from ‘deal-flow to execution’
  • Serve as a member of the Investment Committee and provide sound and fully supported recommendations and advice on the investment mandates as well as execute formulated investment strategy by sourcing and underwriting transactions
  • Develop, evaluate and review deal-flow and project pipeline against investment strategy to ensure optimal and timely investment and performance

Requirements

  • Recent experience of managing a $100-$500 million portfolio strongly preferred
  • 15+ years of senior level real estate investment management or similar expertise, including deal origination, appraisals and documentation
  • Must be eligible for accreditation as a registered sponsored individual by the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC)
  • Demonstrated business development skills, including building sustainable client relationships.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will be reporting to the Chief Executive Officer. This individual will be responsible for developing, maintaining and managing organization-wide technology and technical resources with an oversight of all stages of research, planning, development, testing and deployment.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Effectively analyzes the current organization structure of the technology department and aligns the technical staff/resources to meet the immediate and long-term needs of the organization.
  • Develops and maintains the overall framework of IT policies, standards and strategies that will empower business and people to deliver on their commitments to strategy and budgets
  • Defines priorities, objectives and targets that underpins what contributes to the delivery of value to the business aligned with best practices and standards
  • Develops state of the art transformational solutions that enables our customers to achieve best-in-class performance, reliability, and privacy, while adhering to industry standard
  • Optimizes and manages the technology infrastructure and network (including efficient internet and intranet functionality) in a manner that delivers high stability and efficiency with sufficient resilience and yet managing costs effectively
  • Provides IT governance; oversee delivery and security of IT infrastructure; monitor key performance indicators related to the security of the organization’s IT systems
  • Ensures total quality management through uniform processes and procedures
  • Provides the vision and strategy for managing data as an asset
  • Ensures business continuity plan are put in place with appropriate Disaster Recovery plans. Regularly test for readiness for unforeseen and unexpected events which affects business continuity.
  • Maintains competitive advantage over peers in the Fintech and Financial switching industry by leveraging the digital ecosystem and trends in technology
  • Identifies emerging information technologies to be assimilated, integrated and introduced within the organization
  • Provides clear and concise communication between the information technology department and the entire organization
  • Any other technology responsibility as identified by the Executive management, Chief Executive Officer or the Board of Directors.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a University Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics/Electrical Engineering or any other relevant discipline from a reputable institution
  • An MBA or Master’s Degree in any business related discipline will be a differentiating advantage
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years’ post-graduation experience in the Information Technology sector, with at least seven (7) years’ experience in an Executive Management role
  • First-hand and solid knowledge of the workings and opportunities in Financial Services, Financial Technology and broader Information Technology industry. Demonstrated experience in leadership in an electronic payments environment will be a differentiating advantage
  • Tested leadership experience in corporate turnaround and growth contexts will be an added advantage.

Job Description

  • Our client has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Financial Analyst to join their dynamic team

Roles & Responsibilities
Financial Analysis:

  • Identify key issues and carry out relevant financial analysis
  • Participate actively in compiling proposals for business development activities.
  • Prepare feasibility studies
  • Develop financial models as required and prepare financial projections (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement, etc.).
  • Review financial models developed by 3rd parties and other business units including the finance function
  • Articulate key relevant financial metrics (e.g. IRR – Internal rate of returns, NPV – Net present value) that are based on assumptions specific to projects under consideration
  • Present financial analysis in a reader friendly manner to highlight most important take-aways.
  • Understand the drivers of company performance, liquidity, operational and financial efficiency as well as stakeholder value
  • Understand common provisions of transaction documents (such as sale and purchase agreements) and their relationship with due diligence findings and key transaction considerations.
  • Prepare and deliver due diligence reports from buy and sell sides perspectives

Investor Relations:

  • Develop a comprehensive Investor Relations framework and Strategy
  • Build and maintain a good reputation through clear and consistent two way communication
  • Manage relationships with analysts, investors and individual shareholders
  • Provide market insights to executive management; including financial trends, shareholder concerns, competitor actions and anything that might impact the company.
  • Oversee and manage quarterly earning calls as well as prepare the company’s annual report.
  • Interact with equity research analysts
  • Identify issues necessary to be addressed, its implication and inform management about these issues
  • Keep track of investors
  • Analyse market and company data (also in comparison to its peers)
  • Ensure that information about the company is disclosed transparently, comparatively, consistently and reliably.

Responsible for Arranging:

  • Contacts with research analysts both on the sell side and buy side
  • Private meetings with investors
  • Shareholder meetings
  • Analyst meetings
  • Press conferences
  • Coordinating media relations and investor communications.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years relevant experience
  • Must be a Chartered Accountant and a Certified Financial Analyst (CFA)
  • Minimum of 2:2 University Degree or its equivalent
  • Good understanding of the economic operating environment.
  • Deal Advisory or Transaction services experience will be an advantage
  • Excellent persuasive and negotiation skills
  • Strong numerical skills and good business acumen
  • Good research and documentation skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Articulate, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong people and project management skills
  • Excellent computer skills and working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
  • Knowledge of IFRS will be an advantage
  • Sound judgement, discretional ability and good decision-making skills.
